Nice interview in this month’s Locus where I hold forth on how my upbringing drove me into modeling and science fiction and other weird conjectures.
They’re offering to send people the issue postage free. Order here.

Very nice, Kay!! Congrats.
I look forward to reading the interview. I know that our library has a subscription to Locus (because I made sure of it).
Thanks, Debbie. I always feel like I have nothing to say, and then I end up talking for a long time. Must have been good interviewers!
Excellent. What a great idea — let’s all check our local libraries and do the same.
Oh, Kay, my Locus arrived today, and I just read your article.
It’s awesome!
I really enjoyed it–especially the section about how your upbringing helped shape your world view.
It’s a very good piece.
Locus does not have the *slightest* interest in interviewing me and J.C. (smiles).
Locus interview
Barb – That’s really nice to hear, thank you so much. It took me 13 years to get an interview. I was beginning to imagine what a nice posthumous piece they might write . . . But really, how could they resist JC and the hat?
Re: Locus interview
Hah! Yes, that black hat is pretty spiffy. Who wouldn’t want to see a photo of that?
You have given me a funny idea. We should all write our own posthumous pieces and post them. Mmmmmmmmmm?
Re: Locus interview
I’ve been imagining a few of mine… and they turn out either maudlin or cynical (“Kenyon wrote several sf/f novels, but was better known for over watering her roses …”)
